T3 Training: Water Supply and Nozzle Testing

On Wednesday evening September 5th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in water supply training.

Water supply operations has been a focus over the last couple of weeks with personnel reviewing all different aspects water supply operations.

Both Engine 49-1 and Engine 49-5 were put in place to conduct drafting drills, while supply a master stream and hand lines.

Additionally crews took the time to also test new nozzles which are being evaluated for purchase. Flow rates and pressures were measured while stream patterns were also evaluated. As a result of this testing crews noticed a 50 gallon per minute difference between competing nozzles.
