Around 1:40am on Sunday morning September 9th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company on a commercial building fire at Bakery Feeds.

Chief 49, Deputy 49, Ladder 49 and Engine 49-5 all made the response.

While en-route Engine 33-1 was informed the caller reported flames on the outside the the building. Upon arrival the Officer for Engine 33-1 reported smoke showing and the Engine crew laid in securing a water supply.

Once Ladder 49 arrived on scene, East Brandywine personnel was sent to the roof to open up. The crew worked in conjunction with Garden Spot Fire Rescue volunteers to open up a nearly 40' x 40' area of roof deck.

The situation was placed under control about an hour and a half after arrival.
