Ladder 49 & Engine 49-2 Update

Recently we have received a number of inquiries from Community Members and Fire Service Personnel about the status of Ladder 49 and Engine 49-2.

Many of you are aware that on October 16th we took delivery of our new Pierce Enforcer city style engine and 105' heavy duty aerial.

Since taking delivery we have been very busy preparing the apparatus to be placed into service. This preparation includes having the trucks lettered, installing the mobile radios and MDC, as well as having the equipment mounted.

Another important part of the preparation includes training on the apparatus in order to maximize the trucks capabilities during an emergency. Our volunteers not only participated in factory training but have routinely been out in the Community operating the ladder to become more proficient with it operations.

We have included several photographs of the ladder at different locations in our Townships for your review. Unfortunately we do not have pictures of the Engine yet. As soon as the lettering was completed it immediately went to the fabrication shop for the equipment mounting.

We anticipate the engine will be ready for service in early December and the Ladder will follow sometime in January.

Thanks for your continued interest in our operations.
