On Thursday December 27th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 322 with reported entrapment.

While en-route units were notified that all individuals were out of the vehicles. Upon arrival Lieutenant 49 (Needles) assumed Route 322 command.

Those involved in the accident were medically assessed and ultimately no one was transported to the hospital.

The roadway was reduced to one lane of traffic while tow truck operators work to disentangle the cars. Hundreds of cars needed to be re-routed due to the crash. If you were one of the drivers affected by the detour we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Roadway closures are often necessary for the safety of those operating in the roadway.
