On Wednesday evening February 27th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in Ladder and Engine operations training. The training was conducted at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus in South Coatesville . The training campus allows us to run through more scenarios and put the crews in real life situations.

Crews split up and took turns working on the Engine & Ladder. The Engine crews practiced stretching the 400' 1 3/4 handline off the back of Engine 49-2 along with different ways of re-packing the line on the truck when it's done being used. The Ladder crews practiced placement of Ladder 49, placing ground ladders, raising the aerial and operating off of it. Once nice advantage we have on our Ladder is we have ground ladders on 3 sides of the truck. So if we can't pull them out the back for some reason we have them on the left and right as well.

The on-going training our personnel participate in is critical to making sure when we have incidents our members can jump right into action and provide high quality emergency services.
