On Wednesday June 5th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were alerted to assist the Lionville Fire Company with a trench rescue.

Utility 49 with ATV 49, QRS 49, and the Deputy made the response. ATV 49 was special requested to transport the patient out of the wooded area once he was removed from the trench.

The Chester County Rescue Task Force in conjunction with the East Goshen Township Trench Collapse Team worked tirelessly over two hours to remove the patient.

Once removed, the patient was transported out of the woods to an awaiting ambulance and transported to a local Trauma Center.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the person who was trapped.

Also "kudos" to all the emergency service personnel involved with this challenging rescue.
