On Wednesday morning June 26th shortly after 10:30am East Brandywine Fire Company Volunteers were dispatched for Engine 49-5 as part of the first alarm tanker task force to assist Wagontown Fire Company on a reported Barn Fire.

Units from the initial dispatch arrived with fire showing from a barn and requested the tanker task force due to no hydrants in the area. Engine 49-5 and Utility 49 made the response with a total of 9 members. Upon arrival crews hooked up to a tanker that was already on scene and provided their water to the scene. Once the tank was empty they disconnected and drove to the fill site that was established to fill up the tank again.

The crew was on scene for a little under 2 hours before being released from the scene.
