West Whiteland Fire Company Housing

On Saturday September 29th several members of EBFC traveled to West Whiteland in Ladder 49 and Engine 49-2 to attend the apparatus housing for West Whiteland Fire Company.

Housing of new fire apparatus is a tradition that dates back to when fire companies used horse drawn fire apparatus. After each run they would need to disconnect the horses and push the apparatus back into the station. Companies would also invite their neighboring departments, residents and many others to help them celebrate the new apparatus purchase.

The members of EBFC were happy to help celebrate this tradition with all of our friends from West Whiteland Fire Company.

All of the Officers and Members of EBFC would like to Congratulate Chief Kevin Miller and all of the members of West Whiteland and wish you the best of luck with all of your apparatus for years to come.
