On Thursday evening September 18th, seventeen East Brandywine volunteers assisted the Honey Brook Fire Company on a massive search. The search resumed during the morning Friday.

Rescuers from multiple agencies searched the area around Struble Lake in Honey Brook Township for a 65 y/o gentleman. Apparently the gentleman had been in the area dove hunting when he contacted family stating he was experiencing a medical emergency and the phone cut out.

Nearly 100 first responders participated in the two day search which covered 380 acres. The search concluded when a body was located in the area of the missing person.
