On Tuesday morning, October 14th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to Rt. 82 and Hibernia Road for an auto-accident involving a school bus. Additionally Glen Moore Fire Company and Westwood ambulance (144) was on the assignment.

Upon arrival of Assistant 49, it was noted that one vehicle was partially under the bus. After further investigation it was determined that the occupant who was driving the car fled the scene. Fortunately there were no children on the bus when it was struck.

Hazards were controlled and the roadway was opened once the vehicle was towed.
