On the evening of Monday February 8th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to assist the Glen Moore Fire Company on a chimney fire.

Chief 48 arrived on location and confirmed an active fire in the chimney which appeared to be contained. Upon arrival, personnel stood by on the roof while interior crews addressed the fire box, and checked for extension in the walls of the home. Once the interior crews were ready, both fire suppression material and chimney chains were dropped down the chimney.

The situation was placed under control shortly after arrival and companies returned to quarters within an hour.
