On Friday East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers assisted the Modena Fire Company with a garage fire on West Chester Road in South Coatesville Borough.

Ladder 49, Utility 49, Chief and Assistant 49 responded as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) on the assignment. Upon arrival the team staged in the front yard at the request of Chief 37. Crews split to assist with fire suppression while maintaining the ability to provide RIT services.

East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were on-scene just a little under and hour prior to being released by Command.

Unit also assisting Modena included: Coatesville Fire Department, Thorndale Fire Company, Westwood Fire Company, Sadsburyville Fire Company, Veterans Affairs Fire Department, and the Chester County Fire Marshals Office.
