On Thursday January 19th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to a fire type unknown in the area of Reeds Road and Skyline Drive in Upper Uwchlan Township.

Chester County Emergency Radio advised responding Units that the reporting person indicated that they were seeing heavy black smoke in the area however could not pinpoint the location. Additional calls narrowed down the location to the rear of a home on Skyline Drive.

Upon arrival crews found a control burn which had accidentally spread to a small boat and surrounding wood line. The fire was quickly extinguished and Units cleared within about 30 minutes.
