On Thursday March 23rd around 3am EBFC and mutual aid companies were alerted to a house fire on Creek Road.

While en-route Chester County Emergency Radio advised responding Chiefs that "a child caller stated the house was on fire and then disconnected," a smoke detector could be heard in the background.

Police arrived on location and reported smoke showing.

The Deputy (Joe Edwards) arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed a working bedroom fire.

All 5 occupants (2 adults and 3 kids) were quickly accounted for and responding Fire Fighters did an outstanding job of containing the fire to the room of origin.

After interviewing the residents it was confirmed their smoke detectors alerted them to the emergency.

Great work by all the responding personnel from Thorndale Fire Company, Alert Fire Co. No. 1, Minquas Fire Company No. 2, Glen Moore Fire Company, and Lionville Fire Company also special thanks to Honey Brook Fire Company #1 for providing stand-by coverage.
