T3 Training: Water Supply and Fire Suppression

On Wednesday evening May 10th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in their continued series on water supply operations.

According to Assistant Chief Engineer John Needles "our goal this evening was to familiarize participants with dry hydrants and ensure everyone was comfortable with water supply operations when utilizing this type of water source".

Following the drafting scenario, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers joined the Honey Brook Fire Company volunteers and participated in a joint training exercise using our training containers.

The scenario involved a house fire with a fire on the second floor with a reported trapped occupant. The crews did something rather unique in the sense that Engine 33-1 used East Brandywine personnel, while Ladder 49 utilized Honey Brook personnel.

The joint training proved mutually beneficial and both organizations are looking forward to training together again in the near future.

Special thanks to Assistant 33 Bailey , Lt. 33 Ream, and all the Honey Brook volunteers for partnering with us for this training.
