On Saturday June 17th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers had a busy day engaged with the Community while also raising much needed funds.

Over the course of the morning and early afternoon our team of volunteers partnered with the Applecross community for our annual boot drive. The boot drive is held in conjunction with the Applecross community yard sale and is managed by Block Captains.

Chief John Edwards spoke to the team of Block Captains prior to the event and thanked them for their commitment to the Fire Company. Edwards said "this type of partnership and grassroots initiative is invaluable to our success! While the money is important, equally if not more important is the moral support we garner from you".

EMS Captain Greg Kohlmaier who spearheaded the event said "for us to continue to provide high quality emergency service to the Community these funds are essential". Kohlmaier provided a tangible example for the group when he highlighted our recent Narcan purchases because our supplies were depleted due to the number of overdoses.

All of the Officers and Members of East Brandywine Fire Company would like to thank the HOA leadership and residents of Applecross for their generosity and support!

Once wrapped up with the boot drive volunteers went to Upper Uwchlan Township in order to support their 9th annual Block Party. Congratulations to Upper Uwchlan Township for another successful Block Party! The Community loved it!!
