East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to a reported accident on Monday July 17th on Route 282 in the area of Dowlin Forge Road.

Upon arrival of Engine 49-1 it was determined that a single vehicle exited the roadway and struck a guardrail, Fortunately for the driver the guardrail prevented the car from going down a 100 foot embankment.

Engine 49-1 personnel controlled the hazards while personnel from QRS 49 and Utility 49 closed Route 282 to traffic.

Units cleared about 25 minutes after arrival.
