On Saturday August 5th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to Caln Township to assist the Thorndale Fire Company with a reported dwelling fire.

Shortly after dispatch Engine 49-1, Engine 49-5, Ladder 49 and the Chief Officers went enroute to assist Station 38. Battalion 45 (Trego) arrived on location first and reported a working fire with significant involvement in the attached garage. Chief 38 (Cordisco) arrived shortly thereafter and established command and requested an operations channel.

Personnel from all the responding Companies (Coatesville VA Fire Department, Downingtown Fire Department, Lionville Fire Company) quickly brought the fire under control and remained on-scene for investigative purposes and overhaul.

The Officers and Members would like to extend their thoughts to the homeowners who were effected by this fire.

In total 19 East Brandywine volunteers responded to help a neighboring Community. The Line Officers would like to thank all those who took time out of their beautiful weekend afternoon for both their dedication and continued commitment to others.
