Over the course of the last week East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers have been busy both operationally and administratively.

The public is most familiar with seeing our committed team of volunteers take time out of their busy schedules to respond emergencies within the Community.

I addition to responding to calls and continually training, countless hours are committed to a variety of other business initiatives and special projects. Some of these include the following:

Strategic Planning

Financial Planning and Analysis

Capital Forecasting

Municipal Government Engagement

Monthly Business Meetings

On-going Oversight of Operational Guidelines

Response to Stakeholders Questions / Needs

Preventative Care and Maintenance of Apparatus and Equipment

Fire Prevention to include Education / Tours / Code Review

Fundraising Activities

Apparatus Design and Development

Property and Grounds Upkeep

In short volunteers commit an inordinate amount of time to ensure a safe, efficient, cost effective operation for our Residents, Business Owners, and Visitors to our Community.
In Pennsylvania this volunteer time commitment has corresponded with a 6 billion dollar savings for taxpayers within the State.

In any given week you can find our volunteers either on the scene of an emergency or at the Station engaged in one of the functions listed above.
