East Brandywine volunteers provided mutual aide assistance on two building fires within 24 hours on one another Wednesday into Thursday.

The Company was dispatched to assist the Glen Moore Fire Company on Wednesday afternoon on Chalfont Road in Wallace Township. Upon arrival personnel encountered a fire in a room in the rear of the home which had extended in the the attic area. The fire was quickly contained and personnel remained on scene for some time checking for extension and performing salvage an overhaul.

The following day the Company responded to assist the Thorndale Fire Company for a reported house fire on Skyview Lane in Caln Township. FM 39 reported a working fire on the second floor with a heavy smoke condition. Thankfully the fire was able to be contained to a dryer unit and the situation was placed under control.
