Following an evening of vehicle rescue training East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment. The incident occurred on Route 322 in the area of Culbertson Run Road.

Upon arrival it was noted that a single vehicle had exited the roadway and was heavily entangled in vines and underbrush. In order to remove the patient from the car much of the vegetation needed to be cut away.

Chief D'Amico said "this is the reason we routinely train on a variety of scenarios, we want to provide the best possible service to whoever is in need". He added "it is ironic that just hours before our team reviewed stabilization techniques".

After the patient was removed from the vehicle the patient was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
