On Saturday April 14th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were kept very busy with both Community events and emergency responses.

The day started off with personnel attending EBYA Opening Day ceremonies at East Brandywine Community Park and assisting with the flag raising. With hundreds of people in attendance it continues to showcase the Fire Companies dedication and commitment to the Community

Shortly after returning from the Park, the Company responded to an auto-accident on Creek Road. While en-route Chief 49 was advised that there was one car into a guardrail and one patient with a head injury. Units were in service for about 30 minutes prior to returning to the Station.

Once back in Station the Company was dispatched to assist the West Whiteland Fire Company for a large brush fire in the area of the train tracks along the Route 30 bypass. Utility 49 and ATV 49 made the response shortly after dispatch. ATV 49 has unique off-road capabilities and has been specially equipped for wildland fire suppression.

Finally around 3am Engine 49-5 and Engine 49-1 responded to Downingtown to provide mutual aid assistance for a reported building fire in the 100 block of West Lancaster Avenue.
