On March 26th at 2:40pm the company was dispatched to Lenape Way & N Manor Rd in West Brandywine Twp. for the reported vehicle fire. Initial reports were of fire from the engine compartment.

Chief 49 arrived on scene first and confirmed one vehicle with the engine compartment well off and an exposure to a trailer. Engine 49-5 arrived on scene and quickly stretched an 1 3/4 handline from the front bumper. Due to the radiant heat from the car the crew wet down the side of the trailer first just to make sure it didn't catch fire. Once that was accomplished the crew quickly turned their attention to the car and had it knocked down quickly.
