Recently the East Brandywine Fire Company purchased and put into service a Res-Q-Jack Apex Series & Greenlite Series X-Strut system. The Apex Series will be operated off of Rescue 49 while the Greenlite Series Struts will be on Ladder 49.

These struts will be used during vehicle extrication mainly when the vehicle ends up on it's side or the roof to quickly and safely stabilize the vehicle so that firefighters can safely remove the patient(s) from the vehicle without worrying about it moving or shifting while they are operating.

The members have been training over the past few months on these strut systems and their different applications to be sure they are comfortable using them in different situations.
