On Wednesday April 3rd as members were on station still cleaning equipment and getting our trucks back together from the 2nd alarm fire on Bolero Dr we were dispatched for another house fire this time in Honey Brook Township on Hunters Run Rd.

Initially Station 33 was dispatched for a vehicle fire but the call was upgraded quickly to a house due to the fire extended to an attached garage.

Ladder 49 and all 3 Engines quickly made the response along with Engine 5 (East Whiteland) who was still at our station covering us from the previous fire.

First arriving crews had a car well involved with extension into the garage of the house. 2 handlines were placed in service to extinguish the fire. Once the crews from 49 arrived they split into several teams. One went to the roof to begin opening the roof up to let any trapped smoke escape along with checking for any hidden fire, a second group placed ground ladders all around the residence while another group went inside to check for any further extension and smoke.

Once the fire was placed under control East Brandywine and East Whiteland units were made available.

Members returned to the station to finish cleaning the apparatus and equipment for the next call.
