On Wednesday August 7th just before 3pm East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to assist Station 47 at the Dogwood Motel on Pottstown Pike for the working fire. On dispatch crews were advised that numerous calls were being received and this was possibly a working fire.

Deputy 47 arrived a short time later and advised he had a working fire. Ladder 49 and Engine 49-2 made the response as the RIT Company (Rapid Intervention Team) and upon arrival crews took up a position in the front of the building and stood by in case of any firefighter injuries.

A short time later after the bulk of the fire was knocked down a few crew members from EBFC went into the building to help open up the walls and ceilings checking for any extension while another stood outside wetting down any smoldering items.

EBFC responded with approx. 11 members and were on scene for just under 1 1/2 hours.
