On Wednesday January 8th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in their weekly training session by reviewing a NIOSH report.

Our Line Officers have integrated NIOSH reviews quarterly as part of a new training strategy. As part of this innovative initiative, two senior members are paired with two younger members for the review. The group is responsible for reviewing the report, determining the learning points, and developing a presentation for the training session.

According to Chief Vince D'Amico "this concept not only helps improve our fire ground tactics, but also and equally as important helps young men and women develop their presentation and public speaking skills".

The Line Officers would like to thank Assistant Chief Joe Monestere, FF Greg Pilotti, FF Miles Carr, and FF Kyle Byrne for the time, energy, and effort they put into the first presentation.
