On Thursday May 14th at 12:30pm EBFC was dispatched to the 800blk of S Haines Circle in East Brandywine for the reported vehicle fire. Deputy 49 arrived a short time later and confirmed he had a vehicle with the engine compartment well off.

Engine 49-5 arrived a short time later and stretched an 1 3/4 line from the bumper and had the fire knocked very quickly. Crews remained on scene for approx. 20 minutes wetting the vehicle down and making sure the fire was completely out. A crew from Engine 49-2 was on scene as well assisting.
