On Tuesday May 19th at 1:10pm East Brandywine was dispatched as part of the working fire dispatch to assist West Whiteland on a house fire on Coeway Ln in West Whiteland.

Station 6 units along with several other companies were originally dispatched for the reported house fire and initial reports were of the house filling with smoke. MICU 187 arrived first and had smoke showing and Command asked for the working fire dispatch.

Engines 49-2 and Ladder 49 made the response with a total of 12 members. Crews on scene had fire to the rear of the structure and smoke throughout. Upon arrival of EBFC units the companies on scene had the fire already under control. Engine 49-2 and Ladder 49 remained on scene and provided coverage for West Whiteland and Lionville from there until they could clear.
