On May 20th just after 1:30pm EBFC along with our mutual aid companies were dispatched to Cheyenne Ln in West Brandywine for a reported mobile home fire.

Chester County 911 Center received several calls and reported that a back room was possibly on fire in a double-wide mobile home. Engine 49-2 and Engine 49-5 both made the response along with Chief 49.

Lt 49 (Needles) was in the area and arrived first and reported to the county that a homeowner had used a fire extinguisher and most of the fire was already knocked down and it was on the outside rear of the trailer.

Deputy 33 arrived and assumed command until 49 arrived. Engine 49-2 arrived next and crews stretched an 1 3/4 handline off the bumper of the truck and went to the rear of the home. The fire was mostly out but crews still wet down the area to make sure it didn't re-ignite again.

At that time Captain 49 took over command and the assignment was held to the 49 units. Crews remained on the scene for a few minutes longer while they wrapped up the hoseline and awaited the arrival of the Fire Marshal.

No injuries were reported.
