On Thursday evening members of EBFC gathered at the firehouse to attend the Chester County EMS Council's Virtual Awards Ceremony. This event is held every year to recognize the many great achievements of the EMS Responders across Chester County.

This year our very own QRS Captain Greg Kohlmaier was awarded the Basic Life Support Provider of the Year Award.

Greg joined EBFC in 2014 and decided that EMS was what he wanted to do. He enrolled in an EMT class and once becoming an EMT began running EMS calls with QRS 49 and quickly rose through the ranks and is currently our QRS Captain and oversees 22 volunteer EMT's.

Greg responds to over 70% of the EMS calls that QRS 49 is dispatched on. But he doesn't stop there, he also responds to Fire calls, trains new EMTS as an EMT evaluator for Chester County Department of Emergency Services. He also does a phenomenal job with building relationships with MICU 46 and MICU 93 the two main Ambulance Companies we respond within East Brandywine with.

Greg is an amazing volunteer and an even more amazing person. The Officers and Members of East Brandywine Fire Company want to Congratulate Greg on this incredible achievement and we would like to extend our Thanks to you for all that you do for the fire company and for the community.
