Early on Friday Morning 6/11/2021 at 4:45 am, volunteers from Chester County along with Lancaster County were alerted of a possible barn fire on Mount Pleasant Rd in the area of Rock Rd in Honey Brook.

Initial reports were from a neighbor reporting a barn was on fire with animals possibly inside still.

Within minutes of dispatch Chief 33 responded and reported he had fire visible from 2 miles out and requested the working fire dispatch as well as the 1st alarm Tanker Task Force to supply the scene with water.

Ladder 49 and Engine 49-5 made the response from EBFC. While en-route to the scene due to the heavy fire conditions Chief 33 requested the 2nd Alarm be dispatched to the scene.

Ladder 49 arrived on the scene and immediately began to set up the aerial to flow water. Engine 49-5 arrived and joined multiple other Tankers in the tanker shuttle to supply water to the scene. Crews were on scene for approx. 4 hours before being released.

Thanks again to West Whiteland Fire Company Engine 6 for covering our local while we operated at this fire.
