At 4:25 pm on September 4th, Station 49 was dispatched to the 4400blk of Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook for a house fire. Multiple other companies were also dispatched to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company.

Deputy, Chief, Ladder, Rescue, QRS, and Utility 49 all made the response. Deputy 33 from Honey Brook Fire Company arrived first and had fire showing from a 2 story duplex. Engine 33-1 arrived next and began to make an attack on the fire.

While en route to the scene Ladder 49 was advised they would be the first due truck company and were to set up and go to the roof. Upon arrival, the apparatus was placed just east of the residence and the aerial was put to the roof. Ground Ladders were also put to the windows around the residence. Crews went to the roof and began to cut holes in the roof to vent the building to allow the smoke and heat to escape making it more bearable for interior crews.

The fire was under control quickly and multiple cats were rescued from the residence by crews from Honey Brook and Caernarvon Fire Co.

Crews from EBFC were on scene for approx. 1 hour before being released from the scene.

Thank you to West Whiteland Fire Company for covering us while we were at the scene.
