On Sunday morning at 10:52am, EBFC along with Downingtown Fire Department and several other neighboring departments were dispatched to the 300blk of Washington Ave in Downingtown for a reported dwelling fire. Initial reports were of smoke on the third floor with the fire alarms going off. Engines 49-5 & 49-2 along with Ladder 49 all made the response from EBFC. Assistant 45 arrived on location first and reported he did have a smoke condition in the residence on the third floor and had Engine 46-2 (Minquas) lay in from the hydrant at Green/Washington. Crews from EBFC arrived on location and stood by on scene for approx. 20 minutes before being released. Luckily it turned out to only be a heater malfunction and no fire. Before leaving the scene crews from EBFC assisted Minquas with re-packing their supply line. |
