On Monday morning at 10:55am, EBFC volunteers were dispatched to assist Honey Brook Fire Company on a reported mobile home fire on Egan Circle in Honey Brook.

Initial reports were of a single wide mobile home on fire with a dog trapped in the back bedroom. As Engine 33-1 (Honey Brook) was responding they notified the 911 Center that they could see smoke visible in the sky and asked for the working fire dispatch.

Deputy 33 arrived on location first and confirmed a working fire and took command. Engine 33-1 arrived and laid a supply line in from the entrance to the park to the residence. Engine 33-5 arrived next and supplied Engine 33-1 from the hydrant.

Engines 49-5 and 49-2 made the response and on arrival assisted crews on the inside of the residence with opening up the walls and ceiling to expose any trapped flames. While on scene crews from 33 were able to locate the dog that was trapped and removed it however it unfortunately had already passed away.

Crews remained on scene for approx. 1 hour assisting before being cleared by command.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family affected by this fire.
