On Tuesday December 14th at 3:10pm the house fire was dispatched to Denton Dr in Wallace Township. Units from 48 (Glen Moore), 49 (East Brandywine), 73 (Ludwigs Corner), 33 (Honey Brook), 47 (Lionville), 35 (Wagontown) and 46 (Minquas) were on the assignment along with EMS from Westwood.

Assistant 48 arrived on location first and reported a working fire with smoke showing from the residence and possible entrapment. Engine 48-1 and Engine 49-5 arrived within seconds of each other, Engine 48-1 laid in from the end of the driveway and Engine 49-5 supplied them while crews from both trucks stretched an 1 3/4 handline to the interior of the residence. Ladder 49, Rescue 49 and QRS 49 all made the response as well. Crews from the Ladder and Rescue placed ground ladders around the outside while also going to the roof to open up.

Engine 49-5's crew assisted 48-1 with the initial handline as well as opening up the attic for any extension and assisted with salvage operations. The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes of arrival. Crews remained on scene for quite a while cleaning up and performing overhaul.
