On Monday morning January 17th at 10:32am Glen Moore and East Brandywine Fire Companies were dispatched to a residence in the 1400blk of Creek Rd in Wallace Township for a chimney fire.

Crews arrived on location with nothing showing but did find an active fire in the chimney. Crews from Glen Moore charged a precautionary 1 3/4 handline and went inside and began to disassemble the fire box. While that was being done a crew from East Brandywine went to the roof and disassembled a portion of the chimney stack. Some minor extension was found by crews but was contained mostly to the firebox and chimney stack.

Crews were on scene for approx. 1 hour

Ladder 49, Engine 49-2 and Utility 49 made the response from EBFC.
