On Wednesday morning January 19th at 7:05am EBFC volunteers were dispatched to Creek Rd south of Hopewell for an auto accident with entrapment reported to be one vehicle on it's side.

Assistant 49 made the response and was advised that the caller was the occupant of the vehicle and was uninjured but unable to get out of the vehicle. Rescue, QRS, Utility and Deputy 49 also made the response.

Upon the arrival of the rescue crews utilized the rescue struts and tie back to stabilize the vehicle. Once the vehicle was stabilized the crews were then able to utilize the rescue tools to cut the back hatch off of the vehicle allowing the occupant to get out. EMS from Minquas EMS were on scene and evaluated the occupant but luckily there were no injuries.

Crews were on scene for approx. 45 minutes before clearing.
