Thursday morning March 10th EBFC volunteers were dispatched to Krapfs Buses parking lot on Springton Rd for a possible fuel leak. Initial reports were from a passerby stating they believe there was a fuel spill at that location.

Upon arrival of Rescue 49 crews found that workers from Krapfs were working to contain a large diesel fuel spill.

The fuel spilled out of a fuel truck on location and went into a nearby storm drain and retention basin. Crews utilized absorbent pads, oil dry and a backhoe to control the runoff.

Representatives from the Chester County HazMat Team along with State DEP were also on scene. Approx. 100-200 gallons of fuel spilled before being secured.
