Saturday afternoon just after 12pm, EBFC along with mutual aid were dispatched to the 300 block of Corner Ketch Rd for what was originally reported as a barn fire.

Assistant 49 arrived on location with a detached garage with smoke showing. Upon doing a 360 around the building Assistant 49 noted he had a riding mower well off inside the building with extension to the building itself.

Engine 49-2 arrived on location and dropped a supply line at the end of the driveway and went into service with an 1 3/4 line. Engine 49-5 arrived right behind them and secured the supply line while their crew went to the scene to assist with interior crews. Ladder 49 also arrived and placed themselves to put the aerial to the roof.

Crews had the fire knocked quickly and the fire was placed under control within 10 minutes.
