Tuesday afternoon was a steady one for the EBFC volunteers. Three fire calls were handled between 2pm and 7pm. The first was an accident call at 2:10pm.

Later in the afternoon just after 4:30p.m. the company was dispatched to the area of 425 Creek Rd for an odor investigation. Caller reported a strong sulfur smell in the area. Engine 49-2, Ladder 49 and QRS 49 made the response and also were able to smell the odor but after searching a source was unable to be found.

At 6:40p.m. the company was once again dispatched, this time to Bakery Feeds in Honey Brook for a reported building fire. East Brandywine was dispatched as the RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) assisting Station 33 (Honey Brook) along with multiple other companies.

Deputy 33 arrived on location first and reported fire showing from the roof. Ladder 49, Rescue 49, Engine 49-2 and Engine 49-5 all made the response with a total of 20 volunteers.

Upon arrival the crews from EBFC set up on the Alpha side of the building and stood by as the RIT. Crews from 33 and other assisting companies utilized several handlines and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Crews from EBFC were released shortly after 8pm
