On Friday afternoon just after 4pm the department was dispatched to 322 in front of the East Brandywine Police Department for an auto accident reported with entrapment and fire.

Deputy 49 and a crew were on station and immediately made the response and arrived within one minute. Crews found no fire but had two vehicles with severe damage that had both rolled over several times. One driver was not injured at all however the other did have injuries and crews needs to remove the two driver side doors and "B" post to allow easier access for EMS.

Crews from Rescue and Ladder 49 put the hydraulic tools in service and were able to gain better access to the patient in under 10 minutes. EMS transported one patient.

Crews remained on scene for approx. 45 minutes clearing all of the debris from the roadway and providing traffic control until the vehicles were removed.
