East Brandywine crews were back at it again this morning 3/8/2023 for another brush fire. Volunteers were dispatched at 10:16am to a residence on Hadfield Rd in East Brandywine Township for a report of a 200ft area of field on fire with exposure to a wooded area.

Engine 49-5 and Engine 49-2 responded immediately and confirmed a 200 x 200 foot area on fire upon arrival. Two brush trucks along with two additional tankers were requested to the scene due to high winds and exposure to large sections of woods.

Two 1 ¾ handlines were deployed from Engine 49-5 while crews from Brush 35 and Brush 33 assisted with extinguishing hot spots.
The fire was placed under control at 10:38am
