On Tuesday morning, East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Swineheart Road for a reported house fire. Engine 49-2 made the response immediately after dispatch.

Upon arrival, Engine 49-2 deployed an attack line and gained access into the home. Crews found an electric stove on fire, spreading to the microwave and cabinets. Firefighters quickly contained the fire and checked for extension. Engine 49-5 prepared to supply Engine 49-2 from the nearest hydrant.

The assignment was held to Station 49 and the VA Fire Department. Crews were on scene for 30 minutes ventilating smoke from the house prior to clearing the scene.
