Following our monthly meeting, 32 volunteers participated in the second rope rescue training session. Crews reviewed the Arizona Vortex, a rope rescue tool used to elevate rope lines above edges or other obstructions. It is ideal in edge-mitigation for cliffs, confined spaces, and other industrial rescue or rope access operations. Ladder 49 and Rescue 49 currently carry our full complement of rope rescue equipment.
