Working Fire Assist to Honey Brook Fire Company

Thursday evening, January 4th the East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched with multiple other area departments to assist Honey Brook Fire Company on a barn fire. Initial reports came in stating flames from a building at an intersection. Chief 33 from Honey Brook arrived first and confirmed he had a working fire in a large barn style building.

Ladder 49, Engine 49-5, Engine 49-2, Rescue 49 and QRS 49 made the response with 31 personnel.

Ladder 49 arrived on scene and were advised by command to enter the field off of Cambridge Rd and set up for master stream operations. The remaining apparatus from EBFC arrived and crews assisted with fire suppression, ventilation of the roof and the windows and ladder pipe operations. Crews from 49 were on scene for approx. 2 1/2 hours before clearing.
