On Wednesday afternoon at 2:41pm a serious accident occurred directly in front of the firehouse. Several members were on location and Captain 49 immediately notified the county of the accident and requested the company be dispatched along with EMS.

Rescue and QRS 49 both had crews on station and immediately responded and confirmed they had a three vehicle accident with one vehicle into the creek with one trapped inside that vehicle. Crews immediately started working on extrication while QRS 49 began patient care.

Deputy 49 had Bondsville Rd command and requested 3 EMS units to the scene. MICU's 46-2 (Minquas), 244 and 144 (Westwood) responded to the scene along with 46-60 EMS Supervisor (Minquas).

At 2:53pm extrication was completed and patient care was turned over to EMS units on scene. During the incident, Bondsville Rd was closed between 322 and E Reeceville Rd.

18 members responded to the incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with those injured.
