Early Wednesday morning at 2:11am, East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched along with several other area departments to a reported house fire in the 100 block of Marsh Creek Dr, Upper Uwchlan.
East Brandywine units were due as the RIT or Rapid Intervention Team which stands by at working fires in case of any injured, lost or trapped firefighters. Ladder 49 and Engine 49-2 both made the response to the scene.
Initial calls were from neighbors stating they could see fire in the residence and that they didn't know if the owners were home. PD arrived a short time later with fire through the roof and were able to confirm that no one was home at the time.
Crews from Lionville arrived first on scene and deployed multiple hand lines and went into service on all four sides of the residence from the exterior.
The fire was placed under control at 2:55am and thankfully no injuries were reported.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the home and the two adjacent homes that were damaged by the radiant heat. |
