On Thursday evening at 9:08 PM, EBFC was dispatched to 425 Creek Rd in East Brandywine for a reported auto accident involving one vehicle overturned. An East Brandywine Police unit arrived on the scene first, calling it in while checking for injuries and entrapment. Fortunately, the occupant was able to exit the vehicle and was assessed by EMS from Minquas Fire Company. EBFC units stood by, cleared debris, and secured the vehicle before returning to the station. Less than an hour later, at 10:23 PM, EBFC was dispatched again, this time to Route 82 in West Brandywine near Tomahawk Ln for another auto accident. Crews found a white SUV had collided with a rock wall, flipping over and landing on its wheels. Due to the amount of debris, Route 82 was closed until crews could clear the area, and the vehicle was removed by Flings Towing. While attending to this incident, the company was alerted to a fire alarm at a nearby residence. Ladder 49 and Assistant 49 responded, found a faulty detector, and cleared the scene. At 11:15 PM, shortly after reopening Route 82, EBFC was called out yet again—this time for a vehicle fire at Golf Zone on Horseshoe Pike. A mini excavator was fully involved in flames, with exposure to a nearby silo. Deputy, Rescue, and QRS 49 responded swiftly, and Engine 49-2 joined from the station. Crews deployed a 1 ¾ handline from the front bumper and quickly got the fire under control, successfully preventing further damage. |
