A Dream Three Years in the Making

Three years ago, members of the East Brandywine Fire Company began planning for the purchase of a new Pierce Walk-In Rescue Truck to replace our 21-year-old 2004 Pierce Dash Rescue Pumper. That vision became reality last night.

With lights flashing and sirens wailing, Chief D’Amico proudly led the new Rescue Truck home to Station 49, escorted by the East Brandywine Township Police Department. Dozens of our members and their families gathered outside the station, seeing the truck in person for the very first time—and it did not disappoint!

💥 This new Rescue looks absolutely incredible.
We can’t wait to get it into service—but there are still a few important steps before that happens:
🔹 The truck will be lettered
🔹 It will be showcased at the Lancaster County Firemen’s Association Fire Expo held at the PA State Farm Show complex in Harrisburg on
May 16th
🔹 Tools and equipment will need to be mounted
🔹 Members will complete driver training and familiarization sessions

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Curt Woerth and the entire team at Glick Fire Equipment Company, Inc. for their outstanding partnership and support throughout this process.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to placing this impressive piece of apparatus into service for our community.
